Gail Friedberg Rottenstrich, CEO of ZAGO Manufacturing Co., co-founded ZAGO (a woman-owned business) in 1993 with her husband at the NJIT Enterprise Development Center Small Business Incubator, Newark, NJ. Prior to this role, Gail served as Vice President of ZAGO for over 25 years. Currently, Gail oversees purpose-driven business strategy, quality control, financial analysis, legal affairs and sustainability initiatives. Gail has earned a Political Science degree from SUNY Albany (Summa Cum Laude) and a Law degree from George Washington University Law School (Cum Laude) and practiced commercial litigation and trademark law for over a decade.

Gail values spending time with and coaching ZAGO Team Members, as they strive for continuous improvement and work on initiatives that positively impact their lives as well as other stakeholders, such as ZAGO customers, the community and environment.

In addition to positively impacting the community of Newark, employees, and aspiring leaders, Gail is active in the Borough of Fair Lawn, New Jersey. Gail serves as Councilmember (2nd term) and is a liaison to its Green Team, Planning Board and other committees. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) and has recently been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan New Jersey.

Gail's contributions to the manufacturing industry and the community have not gone unnoticed. Gail and ZAGO have won multiple awards, including 2017 NJMEP Manufacturer of the Year (Small Manufacturer), 2022 CIANJ Sustainable Manufacturing Award, CIANJ Enterprising Women (Manufacturing) Award, and its 2022 Environmental Leadership Award. She has also been recognized as one of the top 40 women in business by ROINJ, and placed number five in the NJBIZ Manufacturing Power 50.
