Underneath the head is an elastomeric O-ring that compresses outward when torqued, forming a 360-degree pressure-tight seal. External Contaminants like water, oil, gas, fluids, dust, and saltwater stay out, protecting equipment, while Internal contaminants are kept in, protecting the surrounding environment.

This unified design eliminates the need for secondary washers, gaskets, and sealants, reducing assembly time, lowering total part count, and improving long-term reliability.
