6-lobe

An aesthetic fastener which requires less downwards pressure when it is being driven-in.

6-lobe flat head screws have a 6-lobe recess and are cone-shaped for use in countersunk holes. The flat top fits flush with the mated surface.

Hexalobular (6-lobe) button head screws have a 6-lobe recess and are driven using a 6-lobe wrench or insert bit, making them more efficient than slotted screws and hex drives screws.
