This past week marked the National Society of Professional Engineers’ 68th Annual National Engineers Week. At ZAGO, we proudly celebrated by hosting a series of educational programs designed to inspire the next generation of engineers in manufacturing.
Engineers are the backbone of our company, and every day, we proudly help engineers find custom sealing solutions for their toughest problems, making tomorrow’s innovations possible and sustainable for a lifetime to come. Thank you for the daily contributions you make to society and for being a critical part of Industry 4.0, the new Industrial Revolution.
Our Vice President of Manufacturing Operations Jackie Luciano went on the road to demonstrate manufacturing processes to 3rd through 5th graders in Westfield, New Jersey. Jackie did both a LEAN manufacturing demonstration giving every child hands on experience in optimizing the production process and spoke to the children about STEM careers in the manufacturing industry.
Back at ZAGO headquarters, and in honor of the week’s Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day, we invited the daughters of our employees and friends for a factory tour. Our guests saw manufacturing processes up close and learned about the underlying concepts of the mechanics of our operation. They operated our automated machinery and even got a try at directing our robotics system.
