At ZAGO, sustainability is our purpose. We make sustainable products for a sustainable future. But our orientation toward the future would be incomplete if we didn't nurture the next generation of technical professionals. It is for that reason that we were excited to sponsor Frank J. Cicarell Academy, Elizabeth (NJ) High School's trip to Kansas City for the Global Finals of Destination Imagination! The global competition engages students in seven challenges where they must apply science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) skills to technical challenges that require creativity and teamwork. Our students made us proud finishing in the top half of each of the challenges they undertook.
In addition, we are happy to sponsor college scholarships for students of Newark Technical High School who exhibit passion for manufacturing and STEM careers. We asked the students to create PowerPoint presentations demonstrating how advanced manufacturing can improve the world and were blown away by their industriousness and creativity. We will be honored to present the scholarships at their high school graduation this June.
